Creating a user selection component

You create a user selection component when you want to reuse a list of selected users and groups in multiple places in your website.

About this task

To create a user selection component, open the applications menu and go to Content > Web Content Management and then click New > Component > User Selection.
  1. User selection component identification
    Specify identification information for the component, including the name, title and description of the component.
  2. Select users
    You use the user selection element to select the user names to store in the component.
  3. Specify a location for the user selection component
    When creating a component you can specify the location of the component.
  4. User selection component properties
    Specify properties for the component, including the list of authors and owners associated with the component.
  5. Granting user selection component access
    Specify the access control settings for the component to determine which users have access to the component and their level of access.
